Cherry Bekaert is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our expanding Engineering organization and drive the delivery of modern, scalable technology solutions.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in shaping application architecture, leading development efforts, and fostering engineering best practices across the team. The position offers significant visibility and collaboration with stakeholders across both technical and business functions.

As a Development Lead, you will oversee and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, providing technical leadership across front-end and back-end initiatives. You will partner closely with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while helping to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

• Design, build, test, and support scalable, enterprise-grade applications
• Lead technical delivery efforts within Agile development teams, ensuring successful sprint execution
• Perform code reviews and champion software engineering best practices
• Facilitate Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with architects, developers, Dev Ops teams, and business partners to deliver impactful solutions
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and guide implementation decisions
• Mentor and support engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, deployment strategies, and release management activities
• Help establish and maintain development standards, documentation, and operational procedures
• Participate in technical assessments, interviews, and hiring initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Previous experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Senior Software Engineer, or similar leadership role
• Strong full-stack development expertise with technologies including:
• React
• Next.js
• Type Script
• Python
• Flask
• REST APIs
• SQL
• Docker
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, mentoring developers, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams
