AWS​/Java Developer

Job Overview:
Pay Range: $70.00hr - $75.00hr Requirement/Must Have:
Proficient in using various AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, and Athena to build and manage cloud solutions. Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and hibernate technology. Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development. Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems.

Experience with Dev Ops practices and automation tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders including developers, business analysts, and other team members. Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs and data pipelines with high volumes of data. Experience in modernizing legacy applications, including refactoring or migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment. Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.

Experience working with transactional or RDMS databases. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework environments. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies. Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems. Utilize AWS services within application architecture. Develop, test, debug, and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available. Participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code. Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.

Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges. Ensure adherence to standards and best practices. Work with product managers, business stakeholders, and other team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions. Nice to Have:

Experience with data analytics and business intelligence solutions such as Power BI or AWS Quick Sight. Knowledge or experience using ETL tools. AWS Certification. Experience working within a government environment.
