Fitness Instructor at Laurel Hills Community Center

Overview

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department seeks to broaden and expand our program offerings and hire enthusiastic, hard-working instructors who offer unique programming opportunities to our community. We are currently hiring Group Fitness instructors at Laurel Hills Community Center located at 3808 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, 27612.

• Instructs various fitness classes in accordance with their certification(s).
• Assists with marketing of programs.

• Certification in Group Fitness modality
• 2 years teaching experience fitness classes preferred
• Great communication skills
• Motivated individual
• Applicant must attend all required trainings
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and controlled substance test

• Positions in this class typically require Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Seeing, Pushing and Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing and Repetitive Motions.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
