You will leverage your professional knowledge to design and deliver high-quality, individualized fitness programs, as well as actively cultivate positive relationships with your clients to provide continued motivation and support throughout their journey. Contribute
- Assessment: Administer comprehensive one-on-one Fitness Assessment services, evaluating current fitness levels and establishing personalized baseline data for clients.
- Instruction: Design and deliver safe one-on-one training sessions, tailored to clients’ specific goals, abilities, and preferences, ensuring effective and progressive results.
- User
Experience:
Cultivate exceptional user experiences by providing enthusiastic guidance, insightful fitness education, and accurate information regarding Wellness and Recreation programs, services, and facilities. - Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of general fitness, wellness, anatomy, kinesiology and physiology as it relates to human movement and muscular conditioning.
- Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality and organization in client information data.
- Collaboration: Collaborate in the development and implementation of innovative initiatives that inspire movement and promote a culture of well‑being within the broader NC State Community.
- Attend non-revenue generating sporting events for free.

Other Work/Responsibilities
- Guideline Enforcement: Understand and enforce Wellness and Recreation and area specific guidelines.
- Risk Management: Knowledge and implementation of emergency action plan.
- Training and Meetings: Attend required training and monthly staff meetings.
- Community: Develop professional relationships with co‑workers, participants and guests.
- Support: Perform other related duties to support the overall functioning of the department.
Working Conditions
- Environment: Work will be completed indoors.
- Physical: Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting weight up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Sensory: Potentially loud and busy work environment that requires strong communication and observation skills.
- Schedule: Flexibility in availability is needed to potentially work early mornings, late nights, weekends and breaks.
- Safety: Exposure to potential safety hazards and adherence to the emergency action plan to mitigate risk.
