Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Communicatereplacement recommendations from vendors to Mechanics and determinesuitability. Order parts, schedule deliveries to suit maintenance requirements or pick up parts from local vendors as required. Communicate Review parts requests issued by Mechanics. Determine requirements basedon engine size and other specifications and instructions provided.
Determine availability within inventory. Research parts availability and process with established vendors and locate new vendors as required tosecure appropriate parts at reasonable prices. - statusof parts requests to initiating Mechanic to avoid maintenancedelays.
- Createand maintain documentation for requisition of parts on active purchase orders for routine purchases.
- Maintaindata and records related to field purchase orders and blanket purchase orders.
- Documentpurchases against specific purchase orders.
- Received,check and sign for incoming parts, record receipts and place in designated storage location.
- Reviewparts, invoices, validate receipt and code and issue for payment, prepareshipment as required to return parts to vendors or for shipment of othergoods as required. Contract carrier and schedule pick ofshipments.
- Reviewand validate parts used log. Confirm that listed parts are removed frominventory record, verify pricing and determine quantity remaining in inventory.
- Determine the requirement to reorder standard parts for inventory based on designated inventory levels. Reconcile inventory records to physicalcounts, ensure the required adjustments are made to manual records.
Ensure the recording of fuel receipts. Monitor fuel usageand place fuel orders as required to maintain established quantities.
PreferredEducation and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4years of inventory control experience
- Experience in an automated warehouse or inventory control environment desired
- Valid Driver’s License
- Methods,materials, equipment and safety procedures utilized in the maintenance andrepair of AC/DC
