Role Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for inventory related functions, including receiving POs, cycle counts, pulling parts for jobs, shipping and receiving goods, assigning and editing stock locations, and all associated data entry. The role works with the Quality team to confirm material certifications before releasing materials to manufacturing and completes all necessary documentation. Additionally, the Clerk is responsible for proper handling and storage of all items, whether Customer property or Flowserve stock.
Responsibilities- Ensure all incoming goods are received on the same day and inspected for accuracy and damage.
- Verify goods against shipping documents such as PO and Delivery Docket and report discrepancies to supervisor.
- Store parts in correct bin locations and complete receiving paperwork in Flowserve’s operating system.
- Process all receipts the same day, deliver on dock, and update transactions in the system.
- Select, label, and pack goods according to Flowserve requirements and dispatch to meet customer expectations.
- Pick and pack parts as required by picking slip and record the transaction in the appropriate system.
- Seal parts to be picked, place in a tub bin with the job card, and arrange for assembly.
- Enter parts and seals into the computer system to maintain accurate stock status.
- Run inventory reports and reconcile cycle counts daily.
- Follow correct lifting methods and comply with Flowserve safety rules.
- Arrange crates and goods neatly for easy access and identification.
- Book couriers and freight companies for collection and dispatching of goods.
- Work with the Quality team on all quality-related documents.
- Communicate order status, assist with shipment tracking until delivery, and troubleshoot issues for on-time delivery.
- Monitor PO due dates and expedite deliveries.
- Maintain and replenish stocks for consumables.
- Assist with stock take and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience in inventory order entry, processing, and handling.
- Previous warehouse experience, including dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Forklift certification.
- HS Diploma / GED and/or 0-2 years relevant experience.
