Overview
The Jefferson Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Associate plays a key role in the Fulfillment Center, ensuring all patient shipments are packaged accurately, labeled correctly, and shipped via appropriate routes. The associate works under supervision of Pharmacy Staff and follows accreditation standards such as URAC and TJC.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson values.
- Participate in the fulfillment process by packing orders carefully, applying proper shipping labels, and following packing procedures based on medication type and delivery method.
- Receive shipments in the warehouse and transport them to the appropriate area in the Fulfillment Center daily.
- Assist inventory manager and other personnel with receiving inventory from the wholesaler and stocking it at the correct location.
- Help with inventory review, including receiving, pulling expired drugs, cycle counts, and other procedures.
- Coordinate with field service technicians, warehouse and logistics staff to resolve delivery issues and manage incoming shipments.
- Transport orders within the Fulfillment Center, collect, and sort shipments after completion.
- Conduct cold‑chain testing to meet accreditation requirements.
- Maintain fulfillment supplies, including retrieving ice packs from the walk‑in freezer and stocking packing stations.
- Assemble boxes and coolers for shipment, maintain the fulfillment supply status log, and keep shelving and pallets organized, cleaned, and stocked.
- Train other staff as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a fast‑paced, fluid environment with changing priorities.
- 2 years of experience in a fulfillment or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure medications are packed according to handling and storage guidelines.
- Customer service oriented approach.
- Well‑versed in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technologies related to fulfillment.
- Team player with a"can‑do" attitude willing to assist pharmacists, SPRs, inventory managers, and other staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of lifting and pulling supplies from one area to another and standing for much of the day.
- Comfortable handling hazardous drugs.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and keyboard use.
- May require kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR for patient care providers.
