Reports to: Director of Evangelization

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, support and implement adult faith formation events, programs and activities including but not limited to catechetical studies, baptism preparation, men's and women's ministry and marriage enrichment.
  • Promote, form and support leaders for Discipleship Quads.
  • Collaborate with the OCIA Coordinator and Team.
  • Support volunteers who run Nazareth small groups, young adult ministry and other faith formation/enrichment programs for men and women.
  • Collaborate weekly with the Evangelization & Discipleship Team.
  • Provide parishioners with current print and digital resources for personal formation during liturgical seasons.
  • Recruiting and coordinating volunteers to serve in discipleship formation ministries.
  • Work with the Communications Director for marketing and communications appropriate to activities.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • An Intentional Disciple committed to regular personal prayer and discernment and accompanying others in this area.
  • Strong understanding of theology and teachings of the Catholic Church, especially regarding evangelization, discipleship formation and sacramental preparation for adults.
  • Knowledge of the movements and organizations in the church that support parishes to be on mission (Divine Renovation, Amazing Parish).
  • Ability to train others.
  • Flexibility in work hours with availability to parishioners on evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written including social media platforms.
  • Proven leadership, self-motivated, organized and management skills.
  • Ability to perform administrative functions to accomplish the completion of projects and ministerial events.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or personal formation as a Catholic disciple.
  • 3+ years of ministry experience, preferably in Evangelization & Discipleship.
