We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional who has a deep understanding of piping systems, materials, and tools, and who is proficient in blueprint reading and layout. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and welding pipes as required.
The Pipefitter will also install valves, fittings, supports, and hangers, perform pressure testing and system inspections, and troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed. This role requires a commitment to safety, with the ability to follow all safety protocols and jobsite procedures. Per diem is offered.
Salary: $25 - $40 per hour
Responsibilities- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and weld pipe to meet project specifications.
- Install valves, fittings, supports, and hangers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pressure testing and system inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of piping systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed, providing solutions that minimize downtime and disruption.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and jobsite procedures, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Collaborate effectively with foremen, welders, and other trades on site to ensure project success.
- Utilize strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and tools to contribute to project planning and execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately for project layout and planning.
- 5+ years of experience in the commercial and/or industrial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and tools.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout.
- Demonstrated experience measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and welding pipe.
- Proven ability to install valves, fittings, supports, and hangers.
- Experience performing pressure testing and system inspections.
- Skill in troubleshooting and repairing piping systems.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and jobsite procedures.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of effective teamwork with foremen, welders, and other trades on site.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing practical solutions to project challenges.
