The Swimming Pool Maintenance Technician at Platinum Pool Service is responsible for providing high-quality pool maintenance and repair services to residential and commercial clients. This role involves performing routine cleaning, inspecting pool systems, diagnosing and repairing equipment, liner installations, installing new equipment, and ensuring pools meet health and safety standards. A Maintenance Technician is detail‑oriented, mechanically skilled, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

• Pool Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Perform periodic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, brushing, and skimming pools.
  • Test and balance pool water chemistry.
  • Clean filters, backwash systems, and ensure proper circulation and filtration.
• Inspection and Diagnosis
  • Inspect pool equipment, including pumps, heaters, and filters, for proper function.
  • Identify and diagnose issues such as leaks, clogs, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide customers with detailed explanations of issues and recommended solutions.
• Repairs and Installation
  • Repair or replace defective pool equipment and components as needed.
  • Install new equipment, such as pumps, heaters, or automation systems.
  • Ensure all repairs and installations meet company and industry standards.
• Safety and Compliance
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling pool chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to pool maintenance.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards to the Maintenance Manager.
• Customer Interaction
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on maintenance tasks and completed repairs.
  • Address customer concerns or questions with professionalism and clarity.
  • Build strong relationships to foster trust and satisfaction.
• Record Keeping
  • Document maintenance tasks, repairs, and water chemistry readings for each service visit.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts used, services performed, and recommendations made.
  • Submit service reports to the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
• Inventory and Equipment Management
  • Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment properly.
  • Track and report usage of chemicals and parts in service software for accurate billing.
  • Ensure the work vehicle is stocked with necessary supplies and kept clean and organized.
• Stay updated on the latest industry practices, equipment, and technologies.
• Participate in company-provided training sessions and certifications.
• Implement new techniques and tools to improve service quality and efficiency.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in swimming pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Pool Operator, Certified Service Technician) are a plus.

• Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance techniques, water chemistry, and equipment.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
