Engineering Manager – Product Development & Manufacturing
We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team and drive product development from concept through production. This role requires a strong combination of technical leadership, manufacturing experience, and disciplined project execution
.
- Lead and develop a team of engineers across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing disciplines
- Drive new product development (NPD) from concept through production launch
- Manage multiple projects with clear priorities, timelines, and deliverables
- Partner closely with manufacturing to ensure successful production execution
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and key stakeholders
- Ensure seamless transitions from concept → engineering → production
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and performance
- Direct experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to manage new product development from design into production
- Hands-on experience supporting the manufacturing floor (assembly, training, process support)
- Prior people management experience with technical direct reports (hiring, coaching, performance management)
- Experience balancing new development and sustaining engineering
- Leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or similar)
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, resource planning, and execution
- Experience using structured tools (e.g., project plans, Gantt charts, tracking systems)
- Experience working with OEM or customer-driven engineering projects
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface internally and externally
- Background in mechanical or electromechanical product design
- Experience with CAD tools (Solid Works preferred)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (gears, bearings, motion components, etc.)
- Ability to take early design concepts and translate them into executable engineering plans
- Ability to ensure designs are successfully transferred into manufacturing
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
