Sr. Mechanical Engineer; automation

Growing automation components engineering & manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer on a direct-hire basis.

• Design and develop custom electro-mechanical components used in automated machines
• Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, material selections, and engineering analysis
• Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, etc.) to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems
• Participate in supplier discussions, reviewing feasibility and production readiness of new or revised components

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development
• MUST have experience designing components (not total machine design)
• Strong 3D CAD skills (Solidworks preferred)
• Understanding of GD&T symbols
• Experience designing motion control components a plus (gears, bearings, actuators, etc.)
• Experience performing load analysis preferred
• Familiarity with FEA tools or simulation software
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering processes - includes experience working with cross-functional teams
