Gray’s Specialty Equipment segment offers a comprehensive range of expert services including design, manufacturing, integration, installation, and maintenance of advanced systems in the food, industrial, pharmaceutical, and vacuum science markets. From components to fully integrated equipment, we provide purpose-built solutions that integrate seamlessly into larger facility design-build, expansion, and retrofit projects.
The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen (Ramsey, MN and Waconia, MN). Anderson Dahlen specializes in stainless steel and specialty alloy fabrication and is ISO 9001:2015 certified as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.
CompensationHourly wage range: $25 to $35. Shift differentials apply: night shift 15% and weekend shift 15%.
- Day shift: 4-10 hour days, Monday-Thursday
- Night shift: 4-10 hour days, Monday-Thursday
- Weekend shift: 3-12 hour days, Friday-Sunday

Position SummaryAn Assembler II is responsible for assembling parts with electrical, mechanical, and manual tools to meet production standards and quality requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Use a variety of mechanical/manual tools and procedures to assemble large and small parts.
- Perform required assembly operations, including adjusting, fitting, and aligning units and components to close tolerances and strict inspection standards.
- Continuously monitor work quality and productivity; report problems to the Assembly Manager or Team Lead as appropriate.
- Perform deburring as requested.
- Use and read a voltmeter.
- Maintain records of processes and procedures used in assembly, including written and photographic documentation.
- Conduct visual inspection and part checks against blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
- Read and understand blueprints/schematics to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Work safely and comply with all established safety rules and work practices.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of related assembly experience on various equipment or machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to maintain a high concentration level during repetitive work.
- Demonstrated ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 lbs. consecutively.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Positive attitude and strong desire to learn and grow.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates initiative.
- Lift/Carry: 0-10 lbs. continuously, 11-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. never.
- Push/Pull: 0-25 lbs. continuously, 26-100 lbs. frequently.
- Bend: 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
- Twist/Turn: 34-66% during a 10-hour shift.
- Kneel/Squat: 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Sit: 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Stand/Walk: 67-100% during a 10-hour shift.
- Overhead Reaching: 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
- Ladder/Stair Climb: 0-33% during a 10-hour shift.
