Gray’s Specialty Equipment segment offers a comprehensive range of expert services to design, manufacture, integrate, install, and maintain some of the most advanced systems on the market. The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey, MN, and Waconia, MN. Anderson Dahlen delivers end-to-end equipment design-build and contract manufacturing, with precision fabrication – cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and complex assemblies – backed by engineering, integration, and complete process solutions including skids and sanitary platforms tailored to customer applications.
Anderson Dahlen is ISO 9001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $79,000 to $115,000/annually.
- Night shift work hours are 4/10 hour days, Monday-Thursday
POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the overall ownership and performance of the night shift team members. Provides leadership, promoting safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement, reinforcing core values and positive employee relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct Supervision of hourly production team members, including work direction, attendance monitoring, timekeeping, coaching, and mentoring
- Develop team through hiring, performance management, and providing regular feedback, including conducting annual reviews
- Oversees training, cross-training, and technical development of team members, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained
- Promote safety by reinforcing existing company safety practices while proactively identifying new opportunities to improve safety performance and culture
- Ensure daily needs are met to support production, including coordinating maintenance and repair schedules, monitoring downtime, material flows, allocation of resources, and conducting rapid problem-solving
- Actively seeks personal growth and learning in Lean manufacturing principles, industry innovation, technical competencies, and professional development
- Execute staffing plans and provide input on the ability to meet production schedules, creating gap closure plans when the schedule cannot be met
- Work cross-functionally with all departments in support of company objectives, including meeting performance goals, learning and development, maintaining communication flows, and improving efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- A minimum of 3-5 years of production experience (department-specific)
- A minimum of 1-2 years in a leadership role
- Ability to work from drawings, sketches, schematics, blueprints, specifications, and written/verbal instructions
- Education, Certifications, Equivalent Experience relevant to the assigned department
