ONSITE ROLE - NON-REMOTE/NON-HYBRID

Location:

Wurth USA - 93 Grant St, Ramsey, NJ 07446.

Hours:

8:00am-5:00pm ET Monday-Friday. Compensation: ~80k annually, based on experience

Position Summary

Würth USA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting support, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and supporting the Controller in achieving departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior and staff accountants.
  • Post payroll-related journal entries and collaborate with Human Resources to calculate payroll accruals.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and all applicable confidentiality and privacy regulations, including PAP requirements.
  • Lead the full accounting cycle, including monthly close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly profit and loss statements with variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports required by headquarters through CIS.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end CAPEX reporting and analysis, and assist with CAPEX budget planning.
  • Assist with the preparation of PIV and EVP/commitment presentations.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Prepare, review, and validate balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
  • Support annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting processes.
  • Assist with administration and reporting related to the company fleet program.
  • Support mid-year and year-end intercompany reconciliations, including preparation and posting of Period 13 journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax worksheets for mid-year and year-end financial close activities.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation and support to auditors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and other assignments as directed by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and financial processes.
  • Working knowledge of current tax regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
