Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (JN -) Ramsey, New Jersey Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
• Assist with financialstatement preparation and general ledger analysis
• Handle bank reconciliations, cash activity, and cash management functions
• Partner with Accounts Payable and internal departments to ensure accurate coding and timely processing of transactions
• Assist with audit requests, supporting documentation, and reporting requirements
• Support multi-entity accounting activities and inter companytransactions
• Maintain organized backup documentation and support schedules for accounting processes
• Research discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues
• Assist with process improvements and optimization of accounting workflows and month-end close procedures
• Work cross-functionally with project management, operations, and leadership teams as needed
• Exposure to construction-related accounting processes including job costing, lien waivers, AIA billing documentation, and project close-out procedures is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience within public accounting and/or industry
• Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ability to analyze balance sheet accounts and understand supporting backup documentation
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Experience with accounting systems;
  Sage Intactexperience is a plus
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus
• Construction or real estate accounting exposure is beneficial but not required
