We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our team in Ramsey, NJ. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings to meet our customers needs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of high-quality products and ensure our projects are first time right and on-time.
Responsibilites:- Working closing with the Director of Engineering, create 2D and 3D drawings.
- Support the pre-sales phase of projects by creating basic product designs based on specifications of the job using CAD.
- Using approved designs, source and price materials from suppliers.
- Calculate estimates and what kind of approved materials are required for each job.
- Perform process engineering to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and product specifications.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production and assembly processes and to ensure quality.
- Reside as internal specialist and point of contact for ERP system.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD is preferred)
- Strong MS Office 365 products
- Experience with root cause analysis and process engineering.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
