- Permanent position for a Quality Engineer supporting manufacturing and inspection operations under an AS9100D quality management system.
- Investigate and resolve product and process quality issues, including nonconformance reports, customer complaints, returns, and RMAs.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions using structured root cause analysis, containment, risk assessment, and effectiveness verification.
- Evaluate nonconforming material and determine appropriate containment and disposition.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and maintain the required documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to establish product acceptance criteria.
- Create, validate, and maintain automated dimensional inspection programs on programmable vision and optical measurement systems.
- Optimize inspection methods, gaging, fixtures, and tooling to reduce inspection time, scrap, and rework.
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities along with calibration and inspection equipment control.
- Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement, and support internal and external audits and audit responses.
- BS Quality, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production experience, including quality engineering in an AS9100D and/or ISO 9001 environment.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements and documentation.
- Experience developing, validating, and maintaining automated dimensional inspection programs.
- Experience with CMM, vision, optical, or other programmable dimensional measurement systems.
- Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Experience with nonconformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
- Knowledge of precision measurement techniques and manufacturing process control.
- Proficiency with Excel for quality data analysis.
- Experience revising quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods a plus.
