FT Bookkeeper Ramsey, NJ Our Ramsey, NJ store is currently seeking a Full-Time Store Bookkeeper to support our front office operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of daily cash handling processes. Position Responsibilities- Perform daily safe counts and verify cash totals from store sales
- Coordinate with armored carriers to receive, organize, and distribute funds
- Collect, review, and input payroll-related information into our internal system
- Execute all opening and closing bookkeeping procedures
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of daily cash packages to the main office
- Accurately count and reconcile cash, coin, and credit card receipts against system reports
- Prepare and complete bank deposit slips
- Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies or variances
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash, store cash funds, and fleet card gas receipts
- Support front-end operations by performing customer service clerk duties, including assisting customers, handling transactions, and providing general store support once daily bookkeeping tasks are completed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling and safe/deposit procedures
- Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to perform calculations accurately
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently
- Proficient in using calculators and point-of-sale systems
