Commercial HVAC Technician

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshoot and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting tests and analyzing data to ensure proper equipment functioning and provide recommendations to improve reliability. A thorough understanding of control operations and sequences of operation for commercial and industrial HVAC systems is essential.

The role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to maintain maintenance records, and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. The technician will also serve as a team leader, capable of training and coaching apprentices and co-workers, and must demonstrate a strong customer service attitude while adhering to all safety standards, including NFPA 70e and Lockout Tag Out.

• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and service HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Conduct tests and analyze data to improve system reliability.
• Maintain organized maintenance records and communicate effectively.
• Lead and train apprentices and co-workers.
• Follow all safety standards, including NFPA 70e and Lockout Tag Out.

• 5-10 years of experience working daily on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment/systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including the basic refrigeration cycle and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and decipher electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in pipe fitting, including both black pipe and copper.

• High School Diploma.
• Completion of a Trade School or other HVAC Apprenticeship Program.
• EPA 608 certification (Type II or Universal).
