Rebate Specialist

About This Opportunity:

Are you experienced and enjoy contributing to initiatives that directly impact revenue and profit performance? Life-Assist is seeking a qualified Rebate Specialist to join the Contracts Department team. If so, this may be your dream position.

• Handle all rebates received in the Quotes/Rebates Inbox and from reps and/or vendors, completes them within 24 hours
• Manage the rebate portion of the shared inbox and answer all calls pertaining to rebates
• Update all vendor rebates and validate customer’s contract pricing when changes are received
• Request rebate renewals, minimum of 30 days prior to their expiration date
• Strategically provide pricing to contracts based on the rebate received
• Request deviated cost and/or rebated pricing from vendors
• Report any changes to pricing to account managers and the contract team
• Create, maintain and renew rebated pricing
• Set-up new sales tracing
• Invoice vendors annually for sales tracings; continue follow-up is required, until payment is received
• Send out monthly rebate and sales tracings on the 1st of every month and notify teams when complete
• Collaborate with accounting on outstanding rebates and discrepancies
• Investigate and find solutions for all rebate issues
• Check for any rebate opportunities by the EOM
• All other duties as assigned

• Associate degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
• Two to six years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with in distribution industry a plus
• Highly analytical with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to work on multiple rebates and discrepancies, while balancing milestones and due dates for each project
• Working knowledge of the processes and solutions
• Suggest opportunities to modify tools to improve productivity and efficiency
• Meet rebate deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review and approval
• Ability to suggest contract prices based on market, volume, competitors and demand
• Understand how to model a price offering to meet guidance related to profit margin
• Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbally, with internal departments, sales reps, vendors and, occasionally, customers
