SkillBridge Internship – Field Technician

This opportunity is a Skills Bridge internship exclusively for active‑duty U.S. military service members authorized to participate as part of Vets2PM’s Skill Bridge program. You will gain hands‑on experience and may join Siemens upon successful completion.

• Building Automation: HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, & Mechanical/Electrical Services
• Fire/Life Safety:
  Fire Alarm, Mass/Emergency Communication, and Sprinkler/Suppression
• Security:
  Integrated Surveillance and Access Controls

The Technician / Specialist is the face of Siemens, using expertise to help customers save energy, reduce costs, and promote sustainability.

• Meet with customers to diagnose HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security system malfunctions and use expertise to maintain or install new equipment.
• Consult with internal engineering and management on drafting discrepancies and emerging issues.
• Document service work, train customers, and recommend system enhancements as a value‑added partner.

• Only active military personnel will be considered; program acceptance requires military approval.
• High school diploma or state‑recognized GED.
• Demonstrated experience or applied knowledge in technical support of mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or related systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members.
• Able to work on‑site and travel locally as needed.
• Eligible to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations.

• U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in demand‑side energy services or Certified Energy Manager designation.
• Familiarity with HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems engineering.
