Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
About The Role
The Facilities Supervisor is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for equipment reliability, maintenance execution, and safety compliance. This position works alongside maintenance technicians and directly supports the Senior Facilities Manager to ensure work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
How You Will Add Value- Overall operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure (electrical, fire suppression, and HVAC equipment) supporting two data centers and other critical spaces and equipment.
- Manage BMS alerts and notifications for critical infrastructure systems to ensure that all services are effectively delivered.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of fire suppression systems and electrical power systems, including UPS, generators, and distribution panels. Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan for critical electrical equipment.
- Ensure vendor performance meets contractual and quality requirements.
- Build relationships and partnerships with facilities operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, inspections, and permits.
- Occasional weekend projects and on‑call for emergencies.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience with an emphasis on Engineering, Architecture or Facility Management or 10 years of hands‑on experience without a degree.
- Building Operator’s Certification a plus.
- Knowledge of construction, engineering, or architecture.
- Experienced with HVAC, electrical systems, data center environments, plumbing, fire protection, building management systems, and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in computer systems.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Skilled in problem‑solving and decision‑making.
