Overview

These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, and medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced electronic equipment down to the component level
  • Service mechanical and electromechanical systems, including variable transformers, pumps, laser welders, and environmental chambers
  • Safely diagnose and repair high‑voltage power supplies and associated test equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation across digital, analog, and logic circuitry
  • Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble complex mechanical and electronic assemblies
  • Apply analytical problem‑solving skills to resolve non‑standard electrical and mechanical issues
  • Accurately document repair activity, parts usage, and diagnostic findings in internal systems
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to support continuous improvement in repair processes
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions
  • Working knowledge of basic math for diagnostics and calculations
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems, and general systems navigation
  • Experience working with RF equipment and high‑voltage systems preferred
Experience & Education
  • Technical associate degree or equivalent military training – required
  • 2–5 years of related electronics repair experience – required
