DRAM Firmware; FW​/Integration Engineer

Rancho Cordova, CA | 12+ Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, and validate DRAM drivers for SSD firmware platforms.
• Configure and validate DDR4/DDR5 initialization, mode registers, ECC, power states, and refresh policies.
• Develop and execute DRAM validation, testing, and debugging procedures.
• Work with DRAM PHY/IP, memory controllers, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve DRAM-related issues.
• Document requirements, track schedules, and provide technical leadership.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in DRAM firmware, memory integration, or validation engineering.
• Strong understanding of DRAM architecture, operation, and integration.
• Hands-on experience with DDR4/DDR5 protocols, DRAM training, initialization, and validation.
• Experience with memory testing, debugging, and validation tools.
• Knowledge of DRAM ECC, PHY/IP, and memory controller interfaces.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and high-speed interface fundamentals.
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across hardware and firmware teams.
