Senior Transportation Project Manager

Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in our growing Rancho Cordova, CA office. The successful candidate will work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

You will be joining our top‑ranked transportation team of highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated professionals focused on designing reliable and resilient highway infrastructure in Northern California and other areas.

Transportation projects will include planning and design, state highway work, interchanges, local roadways, multi‑modal facilities, multi‑use paths, complete streets, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations, and preparation of preliminary design and contract documents (PS&E). The role requires flexibility, technical proficiency, and a strong client focus.

Key tasks include familiarity with state and local design standards, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MIcrostation/Open Roads, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with client and project management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 12+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation/Open Roads.
• Ability to work efficiently to meet project budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication skills with clients, coworkers, subcontractors, agency review staff, and utilities.
• Capacity to compose concise technical reports, memoranda, and other written communications.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

The projected range for this position is $170,000‑$200,000 annually. Depending on other factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
