TAIT is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to lead diverse surveying projects from the Loveland, CO office. Lead fieldwork and office deliverables, ensure accuracy and quality across operations, mentor others, and advance your expertise.
Role at a GlanceAs a Professional Land Surveyor based in Loveland, CO, you’ll lead construction staking, topographic and boundary surveys, and oversee both field and office processes. You will mentor staff and collaborate with leadership to advance your career and the project outcomes.
What You’ll Do- Lead construction staking, topographic, and boundary surveys using Trimble robotic systems.
- Direct field operations and support office processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Leica systems for efficient data collection and deliverables.
- Analyze and adjust survey data with tools such as Trimble Business Center and Star Net.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and report to the VP of Engineering.
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Colorado (or eligible in other states).
- 5+ years of experience in the survey-mapping field, including field and office responsibilities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Software, and Trimble one-man robotic systems.
- Strong math, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with construction staking, boundary/topographic surveys, and DTM/GPS processing.
Salary range for this position: $100,000/yr - $135,000/yr
