Electrical Engineering Intern – Automation, Integration & System Protection (AISP)

Ulteig is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our AISP team for Fall 2026. This internship applies classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in power and renewables. Interns gain hands‑on experience on client projects while building technical and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support engineers on projects related to substation SCADA, network integration, and relay settings design.
  • Assist in preparing technical deliverables, documentation, and design packages for utility and renewable clients.
  • Receive detailed instruction and mentorship to complete assigned tasks while contributing to project success.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to expand understanding of power systems engineering.
  • Collaborate with engineering professionals to meet project deadlines and maintain high‑quality work.
  • Potential opportunities for site visits and hands‑on exposure to operational systems may be available.

What We Expect From You
  • Completed at least two years toward a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow direction.
  • Flexible Fall schedule: internship accommodates academic schedule; minimum 8‑10 hours per week during Fall semester, with additional hours as needed.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details

Target base compensation for this role is $29/hr factors influencing salary include job‑specific skills, education, training, location, years of experience, and comparison to peers.
