Your Role
The Developer & Employee Experience Team serves at the direction of the Sr. Director of Technical Engineering, enabling BSC's journey to the cloud. The Platform Engineer, Consultant, will report to the Sr. Manager of Technical Engineering. In this role you will design, build, and maintain our Internal Developer Platform (Blue Stack), enabling operational excellence for Blue Shield of CA, our trading partners, and provider networks.

Your Knowledge and Experience- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires 7 years of professional experience serving as a technical expert and thought leader in enterprise Platform development, and maintenance
- Requires hands on experience designing, developing, and managing cloud environments using Infrastructure-as-Code in a heavily regulated, Git Ops and Dev Ops environment
- Prefers 5 years in depth knowledge and hands on experience designing, developing, and managing cloud hosting providers, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Prefers 5 years in depth knowledge and hands on experience designing, developing, and managing Linux Operating Systems
- Kubernetes experience strongly desired
- Additional Cloud Hosting Provider certifications strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired
- Experience working collaboratively with team while remote is required
