Risk Manager/Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Supervisor to lead our Risk Team and play a critical role in managing claims, vendor relationships, and organizational risk programs. This position safeguards the company’s employees, assets, and reputation while ensuring efficient, compliant, and well‑structured risk management processes. You will partner closely with internal departments, external stakeholders, and the Risk Manager to oversee complex claims, support insurance program placement, and implement risk management protocols that strengthen operational effectiveness.
Aboutthe Role
Reporting to the Risk Manager, the Risk Management Supervisor will provide direct leadership to the Risk Team and oversee all aspects of claims and vendor management. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and decision‑making skills, demonstrates sound judgment when handling complex claims, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are key.
Responsibilities- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of risk management professionals
- Manage complex claims across workers’ compensation, liability, property, inland marine, crime, construction defect, and other lines
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, TPAs, defense counsel, and subsidiaries to resolve claims efficiently
- Assign tasks, conduct audits, review work product, and guide team performance
- Review and approve claim settlements within designated authority
- Develop and deliver training programs on claims handling, compliance, insurance policies, and vendor management
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly reports for leadership and executive teams
- Oversee risk retention processes and manage insurance- and claim-related billing
- Ensure adherence to organizational standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance on escalated issues and develop strategies for resolving complex matters
- Coordinate certificates of insurance to ensure contractual compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in risk management or claims
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation, liability, property, inland marine, crime, and related insurance policies
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proven decision‑making skills and sound judgment
- Ability to present information and respond to inquiries at all organizational levels
- Proficiency with risk management systems and related software
- ARM (Associate in Risk Management) certification or equivalent designation
- Experience handling a wide range of complex claims
- Prior experience developing or delivering training programs
- Experience collaborating with insurance carriers, TPAs, and legal counsel
$80k-$100k
Variables in stated pay may include experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and company compensation structures.
This position is eligible for bonus.
