Process Scientist IFull Time Professionals Rancho Cordova, CA, US
Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually
JOB SUMMARY
The Process Scientist is responsible for plant production support and the process development of pharmaceutical ingredients. Work is closely supervised.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform guided experiments in a timely manner.
- Assist technical team in production support.
- Contribute experimental writeups for weekly reports.
- Effectively participates in Process Research and Development meetings.
- Works under the supervision of Sr. Scientists to advance research and development projects.
- Thinks critically and creatively and is able to work independently and also in interdisciplinary groups.
- Must be able to work efficiently both individually and as a team, by sharing ideas, and adapting to change.
- Ability to solve problems and has strong organizational and planning skills.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Typically requires 0-1 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- PhD (preferred), Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry
- 0 - 2 years of industry experience
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency, while maintaining accuracy and data integrity.
- Demonstrates excellent writing and communication skills (both verbal and technical)
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
