Job Summary: The Store Leader oversees safety, customer experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions within the store, providing leadership aligned with Pet Smart’s culture and strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

• People Leadership: Hiring, coaching, scheduling, developing staff, and fostering an open, engaging culture.

  Ensuring a safe, positive environment for pets, customers, and staff; managing store standards and community engagement.
• Business Management: Achieving sales and profitability goals, managing expenses, analyzing reports, and driving growth.

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years retail leadership or customer-focused experience
• Full-time availability, flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee Experience Leader, Process Leader, and up to 70 associates depending on store size.

Physical Demands & Environment: Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to pets and noise, and handling animals are typical requirements.
