Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Electrical Foreman to lead electrical installations for residential construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure safety, timeliness, and quality across all projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate electricians and apprentices, ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical project work, including determining material or equipment needs.

Inspect installations and operations to ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.

Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety meetings, and inspections.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate causes of breakdowns, and correct problems using test equipment and hand tools.

Perform installation and repair work on wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine wiring or equipment locations, ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.

Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet regulatory requirements.

Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.

Collaborate with construction project managers to plan and develop project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman in residential construction.

Proven experience in planning and coordinating projects, overseeing work progress, and managing a team of electricians.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and necessary equipment.

Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Valid electrician’s license.

Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems.

Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.

High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in electrical engineering or related fields is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment, and to work in various weather conditions.
