Senior Accountant

Our client, a large, stable division of a national leader in their industry, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their team. This position will be responsible for performing all accounting functions including general ledger entries, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, financial and compliance reporting, forecasting, costing files, and assisting with the annual budget. Additional duties include monthly balancing, inventory management, and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions.

This critical role will lead the month-end close process and will be an integral part in the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, controlling and improving systems. The Senior Accountant will also supervise external and internal audit processes, ensure proper internal controls are sustained, and provide analytical support to various departments relating to accounting issues.

The successful candidate should prioritize safety and uphold the company's policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
