We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Trainer to support the training and development of new and current maintenance employees. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, with collaboration from the VP of Hope Through Housing Foundation, this role is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom instruction, supporting training programs, and ensuring maintenance staff are prepared for success in their roles.
What You'll Do
* Conduct New Hire Training for Maintenance Technicians at the Rancho Verde Village Training Center
* Lead CORE Academy maintenance training sessions (up to four per year)
* Provide one-on-one and group training for current maintenance employees
* Administer and monitor the Shadow Checklist Program for new hires
* Track, document, and report trainee progress and training hours
* Evaluate skill competency and job readiness; maintain accurate attendance records
* Deliver engaging instruction using effective adult learning strategies
* Verify hands-on training and comprehension through direct observation
* Maintain training equipment and classroom facilities
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
* Strong background in residential maintenance
* Proven ability to lead training sessions independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with Outlook (email and scheduling)
* Understanding of business goals and customer service standards
Experience & Education
* 5+ years of maintenance experience or equivalent related experience (required)
* High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
* Ability to operate standard office and training equipment
* Frequent walking and standing
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
* Some driving required
