Position OverviewWe're seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher and a Two-Year-Old Teacher to help prepare children for kindergarten by providing a safe, creative, and supportive learning environment. As an educator, you'll play a vital role in shaping the educational and emotional development of each child, ensuring they're ready to take the next step in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities- Develop engaging and creative learning programs tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Use a variety of teaching methods (storytelling, play, arts, etc.) to introduce key concepts.
- Observe and support each child's social and emotional growth, fostering self-esteem and positive behavior.
- Encourage collaborative play and resolve conflicts to help children build social skills.
- Guide children in developing their artistic, cognitive, and practical abilities (e.g., identifying shapes, colors, numbers, crafts).
- Oversee nap and snack times, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Track and report on children's progress to parents, maintaining clear communication.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to continuously improve our programs.
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher.
- Strong understanding of child development and preschool educational methods.
- Ability to engage and earn the trust of young children.
- Excellent communication skills, both with children and parents.
- Calm, friendly, reliable, and a natural mediator between children.
- Certification in child CPR.
- B.A./B.S. in Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A valid teaching permit or credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (e.g., Child Development Master Teacher Permit, or similar).
- Competitive hourly pay ($17 - $18.50, based on experience).
