Pay Range$2,807.70 - $4,038.47 bi‑weekly.

Our Ideal Candidate WillDeliver our educational program to ensure data‑driven, results‑based instruction for students in the implementation of the Common Core Standards. Teachers will be available to provide direct instruction to students 6 hours a day, teach for mastery of the Common Core Standards, and be knowledgeable in single‑subject content areas. They will plan a differentiated curriculum to ensure student success, use assessments and data to influence instruction, and keep grade, attendance, and retention records.
They will provide targeted interventions for special education students and English Language Learners, participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, teacher training workshops, and assist with state‑mandated student testing. They will meet with students and parents to discuss progress and problems.
- BA/BS degree.
- California Preliminary or Clear single‑subject teaching credential with English Language Authorization (ELA).
- Intern‑eligible status is welcomed.
OFY is a free non‑profit public charter school serving students grades 7‑12 who have fallen behind in school, are looking to get ahead and graduate early, or merely desire a non‑traditional learning environment. Our blended learning model allows students, teachers, and families the freedom to design an individualized learning plan for each student based on his or her strengths, weaknesses, college and career goals, and schedule outside of school.
