- Supports all theatrical departments, including sound, lighting, carpentry, and wardrobe. This position will perform work for all related theatrical departments including sound, lighting, carpentry, rigging, loading and unloading trucks and vehicles with show and event gear, building truss structures, indoor and out, cleaning and maintaining all equipment safely and in accordance with policy, repair and maintain wardrobe and costumes set-up and operate video and virtual events and meetings.
This position will assist with technical support for the productions at the Lewis Family Playhouse, including related duties as required. - Assists with technical set-ups required in the Cultural Center Playhouse, Celebration Hall, Studio Theater and Courtyard, and elsewhere within the Cultural Center and the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
- Adhere to safety standards.
- May assist with inventory, scheduling, and maintaining inventory of theater, equipment, and supplies;
Assist more senior Technicians in overseeing production load-in and load-out. - Work in the construction, load-in, operation, and striking of all productions, scenic and properties construction and painting, and aspects of stage lighting, sound, and video production.
- Follows all policies and procedures concerning technical specifications, safety manuals, and equipment maintenance;
Set up and strike for a variety of shows and/or events. - Implement best practices and standards in guest services.
- Understand the requirements for each event.
Education and/or Experience:
Successful candidates must be at least 18 years of age with equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and have working knowledge of theatrical production systems, and their care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work as a stagehand of rigging, electrics, light, audio, and sounds systems is essential. Incumbent must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to meet deadlines and work a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), and have a strong sense of responsibility and organizational skills.
