Forensic Accounting Director

Location: California, Nevada, or Utah
Work Arrangement: In office, Hybrid, or Remote

Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Forensic Accounting Director might include the following:

  • Assist with developing opportunities to grow our Fraud & Forensic Advisory practice by identifying referral relationships with law firms and attorneys, drafting articles/white papers, and leveraging other business development techniques.
  • Provide expert level forensic accounting services by assisting law firms and clients involved in disputes or investigations.
  • Lead all aspects of various forensic accounting litigation support consulting and expert witness engagements to ensure timely, accurate, and quality service.
  • Review and analyze financial and industry information, revenue and expense projections, and damage calculations.
  • Prepare and/or review detailed financial models and other relevant analyses, such as economic damages calculations.
  • Prepare detailed forensic accounting and expert reports for use in the court of law, insurance recovery, and/or settlement purposes.
  • Maintain compliance with project budgets, timely fee discussions, and billings.
  • Lead and mentor Fraud & Forensic Advisory team members, actively participating in the career advisory and performance review process.

    Requirements Who You Are
    - You have 15+ years of experience in quantifying/rebutting economic damages, business interruption insurance claims, post-acquisition disputes, valuation litigation, and/or financial investigations.
    - You have experience serving as an expert witness in state and/or federal court.
    - You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
    - Preferred candidates will have a valid CPA license and/or other credentials such as ASA, ABV, AVA, CFE or CFF.
    - You have proven experience networking and developing business and referral sources.
    - You have strong verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills.
    - You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
    - You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and calculators.
    - You take pride in helping others and are ready to assist with building a strong leadership team of high-performing individuals.
    - You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
    - You have the ability to travel to meet with clients.

    Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
