About the Role:

As a Mortgage Loan Officer at ML MORTGAGE CORP., you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complex process of securing residential mortgage financing. Your primary objective will be to evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of residential mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. You will work closely with prospective home buyers to understand their financial needs and provide tailored lending solutions, including FHA and VA loans, home equity products, and conventional mortgage options.

This role demands a thorough understanding of automated underwriting systems to efficiently assess loan eligibility and risk. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to helping clients achieve home ownership while supporting the company's growth and maintaining high standards of customer service and loan quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or similar role in residential lending.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage loan products including FHA, VA, and conventional loans.
• Familiarity with automated underwriting systems and loan processing software.
• Strong understanding of residential mortgage regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Valid state mortgage loan originator license or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a high-volume mortgage lending environment.
• Background in home equity lending and loan closing procedures.
• Advanced certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or similar credentials.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and loan origination software platforms.
• Demonstrated success in building client relationships and generating referral business.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process residential mortgage loan applications from initial inquiry through loan closing.
• Advise clients on various mortgage products including FHA financing, VA loans, home equity loans, and conventional mortgages.
• Utilize automated underwriting systems to assess borrower creditworthiness and loan eligibility.
• Coordinate with underwriters, real estate agents, and title companies to ensure timely and accurate loan closings.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations throughout the loan origination process.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
• Prepare and present loan options and terms to clients, clearly explaining the benefits and obligations of each.
• Monitor loan pipelines and manage documentation to ensure all files are complete and accurate prior to closing.
