Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative with hands-on experience troubleshooting products in an e-commerce environment. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer support across multiple channels while diagnosing and resolving product-related issues efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping customers turn problems into positive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, phone, and/or social platforms
- Troubleshoot product issues by asking targeted questions and guiding customers through solutions
- Diagnose defects, usage errors, or compatibility issues and recommend appropriate resolutions
- Process returns, exchanges, replacements, and refunds according to company policies
- Document customer interactions and resolutions in CRM and ticketing systems
- Escalate complex technical or recurring issues to internal teams when needed
- Collaborate with product, warehouse, and fulfillment teams to resolve order or product issues
- Maintain a strong understanding of product features, updates, and common issues
- Identify trends in customer feedback and share insights to improve products and processes
- Provide clear, professional, and empathetic communication at all times
- 1-3+ years of customer service experience in an e-commerce or product-based environment
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting physical or technical products
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable working with CRM, help desk, or ticketing software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting response-time goals
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience supporting consumer electronics, appliances, tools, or other technical products
- Familiarity with platforms such as Zendesk, Shopify, Gorgias, or similar tools
- Experience supporting customers in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a calm, solution-oriented approach
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn product details quickly
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Adaptability in a growing e-commerce environment
