Systems Engineer

This position is a new role created in response to company growth. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Systems Engineer, be a well‑rounded “master of some,” and demonstrate technical depth. They will be comfortable communicating with vendors, solving problems, and delivering service-oriented collaborative support. The role requires onsite presence 5 days a week with on‑call duties for network issues.

Remote or help‑desk backgrounds are not appropriate. The candidate must reside within 40 miles of the office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

• 90% on‑premise infrastructure
• Strong preference to keep data on‑premise
• Cloud usage limited to third‑party SaaS
• Security‑first organization

• Windows Server (standardized)
• Active Directory (deep knowledge required)
• Microsoft Exchange on‑premise
• Networking (routing & switching)
• SQL/DBMS experience (SQL, MySQL, Oracle – expert level not required)
• Some Linux/Unix exposure (nice to have)

• Transition from Cisco routers and Check Point firewalls to SD‑WAN
• Check Point experience is a major plus
• Ongoing infrastructure upgrades (continuous)

• Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server
• Network routing and switching
• SQL, MySQL
• CompTIA A+, CCNA
• Linux/Unix fundamentals
• Checkpoint firewall, Checkpoint certification

• Technically deep
• Comfortable calling vendors
• Strong problem solving skills

Experienced Level

Contract to Hire – Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Pay range: $48.00 – $62.00 per hour.
