The role of a Quality Assurance Engineer II at IEHP includes coordinating the analysis of software programs, creating and implementing testing plans, recording results, and providing recommendations to improve software based on those results.

You will work independently to accomplish QA duties required across IT at IEHP, supporting testing efforts within an agile team and executing all levels of testing—including System, API, Data Validation, Integration, and Regression. The position also evaluates the organization’s technical infrastructure for security issues and interfaces with end users to understand business and API requirements. In some cases, you may identify areas of improvement such as cost‑reduction and automation solutions.

The Engineer II – QA performs ETL tests requiring strong PL/SQL skills and data‑warehousing knowledge.

• Three plus (3+) years of IT Quality Assurance experience
• Experience with requirements development and documentation, and direct experience leading IT QA efforts
• Experience with data validation and ETL processes testing
• Experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman
• API testing experience
• Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
• Prior development or automation experience using functional automation tools like Selenium, UTP, etc.
• API testing using automation tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related technical field from an accredited institution required (In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above)

• Must have knowledge of healthcare industry – standard EDI message formats like HL7 (ADT's, Orders, Charges), X12 (837/835, 270/271, 276/277), NCPDP, HIPAA, etc. are required
• Knowledge of IT SDLC processes and QA practices; knowledge in SQL query writing and test automation tools a plus

• Proficiency with Microsoft PC desktop applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio
