Overview
The Planner coordinates production workflow for the assembly and test areas by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinates production workflow for one or multiple products.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Will recommend manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Collaborate with all departments.
- Keeps area clean according to 5S standards.
- Follows all safety rules as set by the company.
A General AA degree; and three to five years related experience in production control or related field.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Experience in MRP (manufacturing resource planning).
- Knowledge of math and statistics.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Good organizational skills.
While performing the responsibilities of the Planner job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.
