Summary/Objective:
In this role, the Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse forklifts and electric pallet jacks. This will be done while having materials in place for production, removing finished product, maintaining a clean and safe working environment; including wearing all required PPE, and excellent communication to Co-workers, Operation Leads and Supervisors.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Complete daily forklift safety inspections, and report any deviations to the Operations Lead
- Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards.
- Operates company equipment in a safe manner
- Loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, or manually by hand.
- Operates motorized equipment, including, but not limited to forklift, clamp, (see required certifications), cherry-pickers, motorized pallet jack, etc. to assemble orders and deliver to staging area, done in safe and efficient manner.
- Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items and quantities to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
- Receive inbounds. (Offload, count, and label.)
- Load outbounds. (Identify, count, and load.)
- Hand stacking and/or manual pack-off
- Assist other departments as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Sufficient formal education to read, comprehend, and act upon verbal and written information. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or six months related experience preferred
- Must be equipment certified
- Utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product
- Disassembles, reassembles, or repairs products, materials or equipment sorts, bales, weighs, loads, and recycles materials based on customer specifications.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate basic equipment
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
