Deburr Operator

Position Summary

• The Deburr Operator is responsible for deburring complex parts with end mills, sandpaper, and other finishing tools as necessary

Primary Responsibilities

• Deburr complex parts with end mills, sandpaper, and other finishing tools as necessary
• Perform equipment parts cleaning operation
• Read blueprints/job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to deburr small components to required specifications and tolerances
• Properly utilize inspection equipment including micrometers and calipers
• Sort, inspect and hand wash parts when required

• Create optimal surface finish conditions and remove burrs on components using hard tools and automated equipment per blueprint or verbal instructions.
• Complies with MMC quality systems, including correctly completing all related documents.

• Follow all safety guidelines established by the company.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma Preferred
• 1-2 years' experience in the aerospace industry preferred

• Interpersonal skills required to interact with internal personnel in Sales, Estimating, Shipping and Administration

Must be able to use repetitive wrist, hand, and arm motions. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, stoop, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Hand eye coordination must be used in high pressure situations along with quick reaction times.

Hearing conservation tests are done annually due to the noise levels in the Deburr Area.
