Petroleum Construction Foreman

Petroleum Construction Foreman takes a hands‑on leadership role on the job site ensuring prompt, efficient progress of the work. The Foreman determines priorities for work to be done, sometimes on their own initiative and authority, but more often based on needs communicated by management.

• Direct and run the project which includes piping and the installation of underground and above ground tanks and related project materials.
• Communicate to the Installation Manager any specific requirements for completing the project in a safe, timely, and profitable manner.
• Communicate with the customer or their onsite representative the requirements or issues that may arise on the job site.
• Read and understand applicable plans and specifications, environmental regulations, fire and building codes that must be enforced on the site.
• Attend pre‑construction meetings, safety meetings, and selected training sessions as directed by the Installation Manager.
• Keep accurate daily records on each job, including tests, inspections, daily progress, visitors to the job, and situations that may affect the schedule.
• Set an example for the crew by reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
• Supervise daily activities of the crew and plan for tomorrow.
• Provide opportunities to train the crew so each member can take on increasing responsibilities.
• Enforce mandatory safety rules; identify potential hazards, correct situations, require proper PPE, hold daily job‑site safety meetings.
• Maintain a positive company image including appearance of crew members, vehicle cleanliness, orderly job site, clean job‑site sign, professional and courteous conduct.
• Maintain vehicles in compliance with preventive maintenance policies; wash and clean vehicles weekly; operate all vehicles safely.
• Work after hours, in all weather conditions, and travel as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in piping, underground or above ground fuel tanks, and related products.
• Understanding of grades and elevations and experience with a laser level.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a construction truck and tow small trailers when needed.
• Possession of ICC certifications or ability to quickly obtain required certifications.
• Meet company’s employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR if driving for the company.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds; frequent bending, stooping and standing for the duration of the workday.
