Main activities include: welcoming the child and their family; participating in the development of the establishment's project; developing and implementing educational projects; organizing and leading developmental activities; supporting and valuing the parental role; providing care for children; taking care of children individually and in groups; preparing, presenting, and managing materials; organizing meetings and interviews with parents and staff; proposing improvements to the reception, layout, and operation;

evaluating actions taken.

Skills required include: holding a diploma in early childhood education; communicating with parents and other adults around the child; developing manual and artistic activities; applying hygiene and safety regulations; adapting interventions to the needs of children and the structure; working in a team and reporting on activities; communicating with the public.

Necessary qualities include: civility, politeness, and courtesy; adherence to the projects and rules of operation of municipal services; respect for confidentiality and hierarchy; ability to inform and train colleagues; adaptability to new situations.
