Job Objective
Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice of a Physician Assistant (PA) while supporting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based outcomes. Serves as a clinical expert through patient education, interdisciplinary consultation, and collaboration, contributing to program excellence and ongoing professional development. Builds and maintains strong provider relationships and demonstrates a commitment to cost-effective care management by optimizing resource utilization, enhancing patient experiences, and driving continuous process improvement.
QualificationsEducation
- Required:
Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) or Doctor of Physician Assistant (PA) program completion of an accredited program if hired after July 1, 2023
- PA Surgery
Required:
Active and unrestricted CA licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA);
Current board certification or board eligible as an PA by a nationally accredited organization;
National Provider Identifier (NPI);
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA);
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA
- PA Inpatient
Required:
Active and unrestricted CA licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA);
Current board certification or board eligible as an PA by a nationally accredited organization;
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate to dispense controlled substances (II-V);
National Provider Identifier (NPI);
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA);
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA required if assigned to Inpatient Clinical Care in the following departments:
Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic (CC7550);
General Surgery Clinic (Salta) (CC7434); GYN Oncology Surgery (CC7657);
Hospitalists Program (CC8714);
Inpatient Specialty Programs (CC7055);
Stroke Service (CC7050);
Vascular Clinic (CC7563)
- PA Surgery Preferred: PA experience in surgical services setting across a broad spectrum functioning as a First Assistant
- PA Inpatient Preferred:
Experience as a PA providing care in an acute or ambulatory setting in assigned area of specialty;
Minimum one (1) year of experience with acute stroke and other neurovascular emergencies if assigned to Inpatient Specialty Programs (CC7055) - A generous benefits package and matched retirement plan

A sign-on bonus is available. Up to $5,000, with $2,500 paid with the first paycheck and $2,500 after one year of service. Part-time positions are eligible for a prorated bonus. Offer valid for external new hires only. Additional restrictions may apply.
