Provides direct patient care and support to multidisciplinary health team working within the scope of practice of a Nurse Practitioner (NP). Serves as a clinical expert through patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and consultation, while maintaining program excellence and professional growth. Responsible for developing comprehensive care plans, coordinating patient care, delivering ongoing treatment while fostering a strong patient-provider relationship. Committed to cost‑effective care management, optimizing resource utilization, and enhancing patient experiences through continuous process improvement.
Provides direct patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based outcomes.
Required:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Active and unrestricted CA licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Nurse Practitioner Furnishing (NPF) license number from the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
- Current board certification as NP by a nationally accredited organization in a population focus
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate to dispense controlled substances (II‑V)
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA required upon hire and Adult Acute Care or Adult Gerontological Acute Care board certification required by December 31, 2028 if assigned to Inpatient Clinical Care in the following departments:
Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic (CC7550), General Surgery Clinic (Salta) (CC7434), GYN Oncology Surgery (CC7657), Hospitalists Program (CC8714), Inpatient Specialty Programs (CC7055), Stroke Service (CC7050), Vascular Clinic (CC7563)
Preferred:
Experience as an NP providing care in an acute or ambulatory setting in assigned area of specialty;
Minimum one (1) year of experience with acute stroke and other neurovascular emergencies if assigned to Inpatient Specialty Programs (CC7055).
Director, Chief Administrative Officer or Service Line Administrator.

- Strong understanding of evidence‑based practice, medical guidelines, and state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
